F.W. Webb Acquires Bergen Industrial Supply Co. to Expand Wholesale Distribution Channel in New Jersey

Acquisition Highlights Strengths of Both Companies and Extends Webb's Northeast Footprint

BEDFORD, MA – February 22, 2013 — F.W. Webb Company , the largest supplier of plumbing, heating, cooling and industrial products in the Northeast, today announced plans to acquire Bergen Industrial Supply.


Based in Elmwood Park, NJ, Bergen was founded in 1965 and distributes industrial pipe, valves, and fittings to manufacturing companies across northern and central New Jersey. Bergen serves many industries including pharmaceutical, chemical processing, food and beverage, pulp and paper, cosmetic/personal care products, textile, and utilities. Bergen was founded by James LaPorte, Sr. and like F.W. Webb is a family-run business. The two companies today supply many of the same national customers.

The well-known Bergen name will remain for some time and there are no immediate plans to make any changes.


Webb Kentrol/ Sevco Acquires Systemation

Move broadens Webb Kentrol/Sevco's instrumentation business in upstate New York


BEDFORD, MA – January 2, 2013 — Webb Kentrol/Sevco, a division of the F.W. Webb Company, today announced the acquisition of Systemation, a Fairport, New York-based provider of engineered sales and application solutions for the process control industry.


Systemation LogoSystemation is a leading manufacturer's representative and distributor serving the process industry in upstate New York, providing measurement products and analyzers as well as integrated distributed control systems and PC based controllers and software. The company is a natural fit for Webb Kentrol/Sevco, a single source provider of process control instrumentation, control valves, over pressure protection devices and analytical measurement products to industrial process plants throughout New England and New York.
